Kenwood DPX505BT Car Stereo with Bluetooth and Amazon Alexa Voice Control

The Kenwood DPX505BT boasts built-in Alexa with voice control, a cloud-based voice control digital assistant developed by Amazon. This feature allows you to ask Alexa to play music, get weather reports, traffic information, control smart home devices, set reminders, and more. To set up the Kenwood receiver for voice control, you will need to install the Amazon Alexa app (for Apple iOS 11.0+ and Android OS 5.0+) on your compatible smartphone device. Additionally, the DPX505BT comes equipped with built-in Bluetooth (ver. 4.2), enabling wireless phone calls and music streaming from your smartphone to the head unit. The head unit also supports Bluetooth hands-free communication for your Bluetooth enabled mobile phone, allowing you to dial a number, answer an in-coming call, or end a call using the controls of the DPX504BT. For Apple users, the iPhone can be connected to the DPX505BT via USB or through Bluetooth, while Android smartphones can only be connected via Bluetooth. Additionally, Apple Music Radio can be accessed through a USB or Bluetooth connected iPhone. The DPX505BT features a single disc player that is compatible with CD-Audio and finalized CD-R/CD-RW audio discs. It offers 8 EQ Presets, a 3-band Easy EQ, a 13-band Manual EQ, Drive EQ mode, and a Stage EQ for customized tuning and overcoming road noise. Separate EQ settings and presets can be stored for each source, or one EQ preset can be applied to all sources. With a 3-line LCD display, the unit allows you to view the clock, source, and song/artist info simultaneously, with the option to select between English or Spanish text. The variable color display and button illumination provide 24 preset colors to choose from, including the option to continuously scan through all presets or customize your own color (RGB; 0-9). In terms of installation, the size of the DPX505BT is 7" x 4-3/8" x 6-1/8" (178 x 100 x 156 mm).
